Lee Wright has spent the past three years at the University of Georgia completing a Doctor of Musical Arts in choral conducting under the tutelage of Dan Bara and J.D. Burnett. For the previous twelve years, Wright was the director of choirs at John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, Alabama. While there, the John Carroll Singers were selected to sing at the Alabama Music Educators Association State Conference in 2010 and 2015. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education from the University of Montevallo, where he studied choral conducting and methods with Robert Wright, Carol Krueger and Gary Packwood. Wright is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education. He and his wife, Amanda have two wonderful sons, Felix and Jasper.
