Professional Highlights:
As a musician, Sam has previously toured the east coast, played countless local area shows and played the Bamboozle Festival (2007). As a marketer at a music startup, Sam has helped manage tour launches for various labels and artists in the pop, hip hop, and pop punk space. He also worked briefly on an on-ice promotion for the New York Islanders while at another startup. Sam did his music therapy internship at A Place to Be in Middleburg, Virginia, and worked there for 1.5 yrs. He then left to start a virtual-only music therapy practice, CREATE Music Therapy Services, where he focuses on creativity, recording, and the intersection of music, technology and digital communities.
Personal Highlights:
Sam currently lives in Winchester, Virginia, with his wife and three children. He is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia. Sam’s hobbies include songwriting, creative writing and journaling/art response, and playing video games. He came to music therapy after years in startup marketing in order to pursue meaningful and creative work.
